National Hsinchu High School (HCHS) strives to offer an education that allows each student to meet their fullest potential. The tradition of valuing co-curriculum activities started with Principal Hsin, and for 100 years we have continually established more and more clubs, creating a golden age of exploration and innovation.

Outside of the classroom, HCHS students participate in a vibrant culture of clubs and activities to enrich their learning experience. Club activities at HCHS are flourishing with distinctive features. Now we have over 50 clubs in all. In terms of nature, the clubs can be separated into 6 broad categories including Music Clubs, Art Clubs, Academic Clubs, Recreational Clubs, Service Clubs, and Sports Clubs. It is mandatory for each student at National Hsinchu High School to be a part of at least one of the clubs. Students interested in forming a new club will need to complete application paperwork.

Our school clubs often get brilliant results in various kinds of contests or competitions, especially for Music and Art Clubs. The Choir, Orchestra Club, String Orchestra Club, Chinese Music Club, and Street Dance Club frequently attend national competitions, earning great recognition.
